Finally! We just got our first small shipment of the highly anticipated Fujifilm 14mm primes. Well, highly anticipated by some anyway and by me for sure! On the X-E1 and X-Pro1, this lens produces a field-of-view equivalent to a 21mm lens on a full-frame 35mm camera. These three lenses are spoken for, but I do hope we'll get some more very soon.
Preliminary tests show this lens to be extremely well corrected optically for distortion (straight lines stay straight) and they have seem to have virtually no chromatic aberrations either, meaning that software corrections will be minimal or not even required in most cases. This bodes well for corner sharpness and indeed my first few photos here in the store make me think that this will be one of the best ultra-wide primes out there, from a corner-to-corner sharpness standpoint.
